The Saint Matthew’s Ministry to Abused Children (The MAC Team)

You can make an abused child’s life better.

We know that severe child abuse is real. We’ve seen the statistics and heard the stories, but the children themselves often remain distant and anonymous. We want to help them, but they seem beyond our reach. But it doesn’t have to be that way. You can stand with them as individuals, advocate for them and help assure that they are safe and that their needs are met.  By volunteering one day a month in one of several well-established programs run by the Supreme Court of Arizona you can get to know the children, evaluate their surroundings and help make decisions and recommendations that can permanently change their lives for the better. Should you discern a call to this ministry, you won’t be alone in your work. Here at Saint Matthew’s, the MAC Team will meet monthly for information, to discuss practical concerns and to provide support.
