The youth groups at Saint Matthew's have a little something for everyone!
If you are in 5th through 12th grade, you'll want to come EVERY WEEK.
High School, Junior High and Club 56 groups meet each Sunday evening from 5:00 - 6:45 p.m.
- Spend time with our awesome leaders who really care about you
- Build friendships with other teens who care about their faith
- Simply enjoy a place where you can just be.
This year's youth group motto is "Make a Difference," and every month this school year you can participate in monthly ministry opportunities to serve others.
Come this Sunday and find out what it's all about! Need more information? Contact Mandy
Saint Matthew's Youth Groups have a tradition of serving those in need.
This summer we travel to the country of Belize in Central America!
Every summer, the high school youth group visits a new community and commits to a week of intense volunteer work.
We've worked, prayed, and had a blast in --
- New Orleans (post-Hurricane Katrina)
- Tijuana, Mexico
- Brooklyn, New York
- The mountains of Colorado
- Vancouver, Canada
- and Las Vegas, Nevada.
Each year has been a blessing to us as we aim to be a blessing to others. From working with the homeless to building houses for the poor, Saint Matthew's Youth Group is committed to showing God's love to the world.
Visit YouthWorks and Praying Pelican Missions websites to learn more about our partners in ministry.

Confirmation is a time when you can join other teens to discover new layers of your faith and what it means to become an "official" part of the Episcopal church community.
For eight weeks, participants in our confirmation program commit to meeting together and praying together. Confirmation brings an opportunity for unique discussions about your personal faith and a chance for you to focus on serving others through community service.
Youth confirmation classes happen every 2 years at Saint Matthew's, with a new class starting in Spring 2012. Classes are open for all students age 12 and older.

Mission 34 is for 3rd and 4th grade kids.
We meet once a month on the 3rd Sunday, from 5:00 - 6:45PM. We join in for part of the 'big group' at regular youth group and then we have a time that is just for us. We talk about faith and what it means to be part of a church community. We have great leaders who love to laugh and they even take us on cool outings like JumpStreet, bowling, and volunteering at a local nursing home.
Mission 34 is youth group just for us! |
