In Matthew 2:1-2 we are told,"…behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? For we have seen his star in the east and are come to worship him.

Who were these strange visitors who appeared shortly after the birth of Jesus? How many were there? From whence did they come? How did they know about the birth of "The King of the Jews"? What was the celestial phenomenon called "His Star from the East"?
