George Martin Keffer

April 19, 1938 – March 12, 2006

George was born in the Pittsburgh, PA area. After graduating from Grove City College he spent four years in the Navy, including being in Cuba during the Bay of Pigs. His sales career in the commercial plumbing industry led to living in Cleveland, Houston, Kansas City, and finally Gilbert. As a very active member at St. Matthew's, he served on the Vestry, was a lay reader, and created the ushering program to include more members and families in the services. George was a very friendly and positive person who loved chatting with his many friends at church and at home in the neighborhood. Some of his interests included bike riding, horses, and sailing. He was husband to Kyra and father to Todd and Kala.
