Donating altar flowers is a meaningful way to honor loved ones, celebrate special occasions, or remember those who have passed. You can contribute to our Altar Flower Fund year-round, with a suggested donation of $50. Your donation will include a custom message in the bulletin, offering a thoughtful gift while also helping us connect as a community. The flowers will remain at the church for everyone to enjoy throughout the week.
Please note that only greenery is used during Advent and Lent. If your special occasion falls during these seasons, consider donating towards our Christmas or Easter flowers instead.
You may reserve flowers for any Sunday throughout the year, but please submit your donation by Tuesday if you’d like your message included in that week’s bulletin. Multiple donations are welcome each week!

By Check or Cash: Use the paper signup sheet in the Narthex and designate your cash or check as "Altar Flowers" (write it in the memo line if paying by check). Or, email your message and preferred date to debby@saintmatthewschurch.org.

Why Your Estimate of Giving Matters
Your Estimate of Giving plays a crucial role in the life of our church. By sharing your anticipated financial contribution for the upcoming year, you provide our leadership with the information necessary to create a thoughtful and realistic operating budget.
Your estimate helps us:
- Plan ministries and programs with confidence, ensuring we can continue to support our community and beyond.
- Fund day-to-day operations such as utilities, staff salaries, and maintenance of our sacred spaces.
- Set goals for outreach and mission initiatives that rely on a stable financial foundation.
Traditionally, we collect Estimates of Giving each November, but they can be submitted or updated at any point during the year. We also understand that circumstances can change. If your situation shifts, we hope you’ll feel comfortable reaching out to our office so we can adjust accordingly. Your estimate is not a binding pledge but a tool for stewardship, allowing us to plan responsibly and adapt when needed.
