Cool Celebrations

Would you like a couple “cool” ideas for your July 4th celebration that will also go easy on God’s lovely earth? Use bandanas for your napkins! They can be a gift to your guests, or you could launder and reuse these inexpensive items every year--or even every day to brighten your table!

Have you ever made a red, white, and blue fruit kabob? Your children might have great fun with this. They (your children AND the kabobs) are beautiful and are also edible table decorations. Strawberries, blueberries, and your choice of: apple chunks (dipped in lemon juice to keep them fresh), white mini-marshmallows, chunks of white angel food cake, bananas . . . endless choices! Group effort!
