Challenge #4: Water-Saving Tips for the Hot Season!
Here are some super easy ways to save water at home:
When Washing Your Hands:
Turn on the water (no need to go full blast).
Turn off the water.
Apply soap and scrub those digits!
Turn the water back on (again, no full blast) and rinse.
Turn the water off completely when done.
Before Washing Your Car, do a quick internet seach:
“Do I really save water by washing my own vehicle?”
“Car washes that use recycled water.”
The results might surprise you!
Try an 'Army Shower':
Turn ON the shower and get wet.
Turn OFF the shower and soap up.
Turn ON the shower to rinse, then dry off. You’ll save gallons of water!
Toilets Aren’t for Trash:
Only flush the three “P’s”: pee, poo, and (toilet) paper.
Even “flushable” wipes should go in the trash, not the toilet.
Chill Drinking Water:
Keep a pitcher of drinking water in the fridge rather than running the tap until it cools down.
When Brushing Teeth or Shaving:
Turn off the water while you’re brushing or shaving, and only turn it on when you’re ready to rinse.
These simple changes can make a big difference in saving water, especially during this HOT time of year! 🌍💧
